ODESSKAIA 200 is a variety of soft winter wheat intended for cultivation in steppe and North Caucasian regions. It belongs to medium-early and medium-height varieties with a vegetation period ranging from 232 to 287 days, depending on growing conditions. Plants reach heights from 95 to 104 cm, and the mass of 1000 grains varies between 34-48 g. The variety belongs to the erythrospermum type and is characterized by good baking qualities, making it in demand for the production of high-quality flour and bakery products. ODESSKAIA 200 is distinguished by high productivity and resistance to adverse environmental factors. Over the years of trials, the yield of the variety ranged from 6.69 to 12.0 t/ha, indicating its high potential. The variety shows high drought tolerance, heat tolerance, as well as good frost and winter hardiness, which allows for successful cultivation in various climatic zones, including steppe and Northeastern regions. Additionally, the variety is resistant to a number of plant diseases, which reduces the risk of yield loss and the need for intensive use of chemical protection means. The grain quality of the ODESSKAIA 200 variety is characterized by high protein content (from 13.8 to 14.5%) and gluten content (from 28.8 to 38%), ensuring stable baking properties and universal use of grain. The variety is recommended for cultivation on high and medium agronomic backgrounds, which allows adapting it to various agricultural technologies. Despite susceptibility to some diseases, such as brown rust, septoria, and head fusarium, the variety maintains high productivity and grain quality with the correct agronomic approach.
