Description BATYKO
Soft winter wheat of the BATYKO variety is a medium-maturing and low-stature variety of Triticum aestivum L., characterized by high lodging resistance. This variety features high winter hardiness, frost resistance, as well as drought and heat tolerance, ensuring its adaptation to various climatic conditions. The vegetative period ranges from 232 to 277 days, allowing for effective use of the variety in regions with different climatic features. The grain of the BATYKO variety is characterized by excellent baking qualities and corresponds to the category of strong wheats, making it in demand in the food industry and for the production of high-quality flour and bread.

The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, and Lower Volga regions, as well as in the Lipetsk and Oryol regions, North-Western, North-Eastern, Azov Sea, and Southern zones of the Rostov region, the Central zone of the Stavropol Territory, and the Republic of Kalmykia. The average yield in the Central Black Earth region reaches 58.3 c/ha, in the North Caucasus — 53.9 c/ha, and in the Lower Volga — 25.3 c/ha, indicating the high productivity of the variety under various conditions.

The BATYKO variety has moderate susceptibility to brown rust and susceptibility to powdery mildew and Fusarium head blight, while being highly susceptible to yellow rust and Septoria. Despite this, the variety maintains high lodging resistance and is not prone to shedding or sprouting in the field, which contributes to maintaining crop quality. Due to its characteristics, the BATYKO variety is a reliable choice for agricultural producers seeking high-quality grain and stable yields in diverse climatic conditions.
