Wheat Maurizio

Wheat variety Maurizio is an ultra-early winter wheat with high yield potential and outstanding baking qualities. This variety belongs to improved types and features well-formed grain with high protein and gluten content, ensuring excellent natural characteristics and flour quality. The thousand-grain weight ranges from 44 to 50 grams, indicating the grain's size and density.

Maurizio exhibits high resistance to lodging and yellow rust, significantly enhancing crop reliability. It possesses excellent winter hardiness and drought tolerance, thanks to rapid vegetation recovery and early heading, which allows for maximum utilization of winter soil moisture reserves. Resistance to various diseases and pests such as powdery mildew, brown rust, Fusarium ear blight, as well as pests, is rated at 8-9 points, confirming its reliability under various climatic conditions.

Recommended sowing dates for the Maurizio variety range from early (September 5–10) to late (up to October 10), with an optimal seeding rate of 3.0–3.5 million seeds per hectare. When sown later, the seeding rate increases to 3.8–4.5 million seeds per hectare. This approach enables full expression of the variety's potential and ensures a high-quality harvest.
