Description NIVA STAVROPOLIA
NIVA STAVROPOLIA is a soft winter wheat variety of universal type, developed by FGBNU «North Caucasus Federal Scientific Agrarian Center» and included in the State Register for the North Caucasus region. This variety is characterized by a medium-early maturity period and a vegetative period ranging from 212 to 279 days. Plants reach a height of 78 to 97 cm, while the mass of 1000 grains varies from 38 to 47 g. The grain density is approximately 811 g/L, vitreousness is 80%, and raw gluten content reaches 30.1%. Thanks to these indicators, the variety possesses good bread-making qualities, including high flour bread-making strength and voluminous bread yield. The NIVA STAVROPOLIA variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, frost resistance, as well as drought and heat resistance. It is not prone to shattering and germination on the root, which ensures harvest preservation. Moreover, the variety is resistant to lodging and possesses high resistance to major wheat diseases, such as brown, yellow, and stem rusts, powdery mildew, and bunt. These qualities make it a reliable choice for cultivation in the North Caucasus region, including the Central zone of the Stavropol Territory. NIVA STAVROPOLIA is recommended for sowing on the best fertilized non-fallow predecessors with medium-intensity technologies, as well as on fallow and half-fallow. The average yield of the variety in the region is about 52.9 c/ha, while under separate conditions, for example, in the Rostov region, a maximum yield of 84.3 c/ha was achieved. High yield indicators combined with excellent technological and resistant characteristics make this variety attractive for agricultural producers oriented towards obtaining quality grain and flour.
