PICO is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) characterized by a medium-late maturity period and medium plant height. It exhibits resistance to lodging, which helps preserve the yield under unfavorable weather conditions. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 34 to 40 grams, indicating good grain quality. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Kaliningrad region and the Northwest region, where yields reach 44.2 centners per hectare. However, the variety has low winter hardiness and is highly susceptible to common bunt, requiring special attention during cultivation and plant protection.
