Soft spring wheat of the TASOS variety is a mid-late and medium-height variety, distinguished by its lodging resistance and high yield. This variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Kaliningrad region and the Central Black Earth climatic region, covering the Belgorod, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Orel, and Tambov regions. The average yield in the Kaliningrad region is about 29 centners per hectare, which exceeds the average standard by 1.4 c/ha, while maximum indicators reach 63 c/ha.
The seeds of the TASOS variety are characterized by high quality: seed purity is not less than 98%, germination – not less than 92%. The mass of 1000 seeds is 38-40 grams, which indicates a good potential for sowing. By bread-making qualities, the variety is evaluated as a satisfactory filler, making it suitable for use in grain crops.
The variety has resistance to powdery mildew, however, it is susceptible to solid bunt and brown rust, which requires attention during agrotechnical measures. TASOS has been included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements since 2001 and meets the requirements of GOST R 52325-2005, which confirms its reliability and quality for agricultural production.
