Nemchinovskaya 57 is a soft winter wheat variety characterized by medium maturity and medium height, with a stem height ranging from 90 to 105 cm. This variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and lodging resistance, as well as resistance to root sprouting, powdery mildew, and flag smut. The ear is white, awned, and spindle-shaped, measuring 8-10 cm in length, with a loose structure and long barbed awns. The grain is large, ovoid in shape, red in color with a narrow furrow; the mass of 1000 grains varies from 37 to 48 g.
The vegetative period of Nemchinovskaya 57 ranges from 292 to 327 days, corresponding to medium-maturity varieties. The variety demonstrates good drought resistance at the level of standard varieties such as Inna and Moscow 39. Yield in the Central region averages 69.2 c/ha, with maximum indicators reaching up to 84.9 c/ha, making it attractive for cultivation in Central Russia.
Baking qualities of the variety are at a high level: protein content in the grain is approximately 13.9%, gluten up to 35%, ensuring high flour strength and excellent bread volume (about 964 cm³). Gluten deformation index (GDI) is 86 units of the scale, and flour strength reaches 243 units. These characteristics make Nemchinovskaya 57 in demand for the production of quality bakery products.
