PEXESO

PEXESO is a mid-season variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), characterized by high yield and excellent baking qualities. The plant is of medium height with good lodging resistance, ensuring yield stability. The 1000-grain weight ranges from 31.5 to 50 g, indicating the variety's large grain size. The vegetative period lasts from 86 to 97 days, allowing cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Central Black Earth region, the West Siberian and East Siberian regions, as well as in the Republic of Khakassia, Krasnoyarsk Krai, and Omsk Oblast.

The PEXESO variety demonstrates high resistance to several diseases, such as ergot and Fusarium head blight, as well as powdery mildew. Resistance to brown rust and septoria is assessed as moderate, requiring attention when selecting agronomic measures. The grain is characterized by an increased content of carotenoids—lutein and zeaxanthin—which impart a yellow hue to baked goods and pasta products, as well as a high protein content (13.6–14.7%) and gluten content (24.0–24.5%), which positively affects the quality of flour and bread.

For optimal cultivation, a sowing rate of 420 to 500 seeds per square meter is recommended, depending on the sowing dates. The average yield of the variety in various regions reaches 57.7 c/ha, and under favorable conditions can reach up to 94.6 c/ha. Due to its adaptability, disease resistance, and high technological characteristics, the PEXESO variety is a profitable choice for agricultural producers focused on obtaining high-quality grain and products with improved consumer properties.
