Wheat of the "Omskaya 36" variety is a mid-early spring wheat variety developed by Russian breeders of the Siberian Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture. The vegetation period is 75-86 days, which allows the variety to ripen simultaneously with the standards "Pamyati Azieva" and "Voronezhskaya 12" or slightly later. The plants are medium-sized, 102-105 cm tall, possess high plasticity, and are adapted to the steppe ecotype conditions. The variety is registered in various regions, including the Volga-Vyatka, Middle Volga, Ural, West Siberia regions of Russia, as well as Northern Kazakhstan. "Omskaya 36" is distinguished by high drought and heat resistance, which ensures stable yield even in complex climatic conditions. The variety is resistant to lodging, shattering, powdery bunt, and leaf pathogens, which significantly reduces crop losses. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 33 to 50 grams, and the grain naturalness reaches 768-820 g/l. The average yield in recommended regions fluctuates from 22 to 46 c/ha, while the potential yield can exceed 65 c/ha under optimal conditions and increased agro-background. The grain of the "Omskaya 36" variety is characterized by high baking qualities, confirmed by raw gluten content at the level of 32-36% and protein of about 16.1%. These indicators make the variety valuable for the production of quality flour and baked goods. In addition, the variety maintains grain quality during on-stubble standing, which facilitates harvesting and storage of the crop. The variety's pedigree includes lines Lutescence 150/86 and Runar from Norway, which indicates its high breeding potential and adaptability.
