EKADA 70

EKADA 70 is a medium-maturing variety of soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), bred by individual selection from a third-generation hybrid population. The plants are characterized by a height of 80 to 136.2 cm and a semi-upright bush. The ear is white, cylindrical, of medium length and density, and awnless. The grain is large, red in color, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 34.0 to 46.5 g. The variety has high ear grain-filling and large-grainedness, ensuring stable and high productivity. EKADA 70 is distinguished by its resistance to lodging, shattering, and grain sprouting on the root, as well as moderate drought tolerance. It shows high stability in various ecological conditions and moderate susceptibility to diseases such as brown rust, septoria, and powdery bunt. The yield of the variety varies depending on the region and cultivation conditions, reaching an average of 3.92 t/ha and a maximum of up to 6.56 t/ha, and in some regions up to 58 c/ha. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Volga-Vyatka, Middle Volga, and Ural regions, including the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ulyanovsk region. EKADA 70 has satisfactory baking qualities, making it in demand for flour and bakery product production. Due to the combination of resistance to unfavorable factors and high technological characteristics, this variety is a reliable choice for agricultural producers.
