DONSKAYA T 20 is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) characterized by high adaptability and resistance to adverse natural conditions. The plant is medium-height, with a semi-erect bush and an average height of 90-110 cm. The ear is pyramidal, white, of medium length and density; the grain is egg-shaped, red, glassy, and of medium size. The weight of 1000 grains ranges from 31.9 to 46 grams. The variety exhibits good resistance to lodging, drought, heat, late spring frosts, as well as high frost hardiness and winter hardiness, ensuring reliable winter survival and resistance to icy crust and waterlogging. DONSKAYA T 20 is characterized by high yield, which in various regions can range from 5.3 to 8.9 tons per hectare, exceeding average indicators by 0.5-2 tons. The average yield in the Central-Black Earth region is about 74.7 c/ha. The variety forms well, producing 800-1000 ears per square meter at harvest time. It is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including Tambov, Rostov, Samara, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk regions, Karachay-Cherkess Republic, Mordovia Republic, and Stavropol Krai. In terms of grain quality, DONSKAYA T 20 ranks among the best wheat varieties in Russia. Protein content in the grain reaches 14.7%, gluten content is 29.5%, ensuring excellent baking qualities at the level of a good filler. The variety is resistant to brown and yellow rusts, moderately susceptible to powdery mildew, and is not affected by bunt even under artificial infection.
