ENERGETIC

ENERGETIC is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), characterized by medium maturity and medium height. Plants reach a height of 79 to 110 cm, possess a semi-erect bush and a cylindrical ear of medium length and density. The vegetative period ranges from 288 to 329 days, allowing the variety to mature at times close to those of varieties such as Mera and Moskovskaya 39. The mass of 1000 grains varies within 42-48 grams, indicating good grain quality. The variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness and lodging resistance, as well as increased drought resistance compared to the standard Mera. ENERGETIC is included in the State Register for the Central, Northwestern, and Western Siberian regions and is recommended for cultivation in the Bryansk and Ivanovo regions. The variety yield in these regions averages 36.8 centners per hectare, with maximum yield indicators reaching up to 72.6 centners per hectare, recorded in the Ryazan region. The variety is resistant to hard head smut, however, it is susceptible to brown rust and powdery mildew. In field conditions, severe infection by snow mold was noted, similar to the standard Mera. Baking qualities of the variety are good, making it valuable for agricultural production and processing. The pedigree of the variety includes lines Caucasus x Line B-48, created by the method of chemical mutagenesis. The ear has a white color with a waxy coating on the upper internode of the stem and the sheath of the flag leaf, and is also characterized by the presence of short awn-like appendages and a medium degree of indumentum of the lower ear scale. These morphological features contribute to the adaptation of the variety to various growing conditions and increase its resistance to adverse factors.
