MIP Lakomka

MIP Lakomka is a winter hard wheat variety, registered in 2019 and developed by the Myronivs'k Institute of Wheat named after V.M. Remesla, NAAN of Ukraine. It belongs to the lutecens type and is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. The variety is characterized by a medium-length vegetation period of 254–268 days, plant height of 75.5–78.3 cm, as well as high cold resistance (8 points) and drought resistance (7–8 points). Thanks to its high tillering coefficient and resistance to lodging (8–9 points) and shattering (8–9 points), this variety ensures a stable and high yield.

MIP Lakomka wheat is distinguished by high resistance to major diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, leaf septoria, fusarium of the head, and hard smut, with resistance ratings of 8–9 points. The variety also has protection against the Swedish fly and the shield bug, which increases its reliability under various agroclimatic conditions. The grain density is 680 g/l, and the crude protein content ranges from 12.1–13.4 %, making it suitable for producing high-quality grain with excellent technological properties.

This variety is ideally suited for cultivation in overly moist conditions, which are common in the forest-steppe zone, and demonstrates high productivity in steppe regions. MIP Lakomka ensures yield increase due to its adaptive traits and resistance to stress factors, making it a profitable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality wheat harvest.
