MIP Assol

Wheat MIP Assol is a glumeless, high-yielding, and mid-season variety registered in the Ukrainian Plant Variety Register in 2018. It is intended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe zone and is characterized by vigorous tillering, plant height ranging from 82 to 96 cm, and a vegetation period of 257–271 days. The variety exhibits strong winter hardiness (8–9 points) and drought resistance, ensuring stable yields up to 10 t/ha.

MIP Assol possesses excellent baking qualities: protein content ranges from 13.8% to 14.7%, and gluten content from 27.5% to 28.4%. Flour from this variety has a strength of 210–234 arbitrary units, enabling the production of bread with a volume of up to 950 ml. Additionally, the variety is resistant to diseases such as powdery mildew, brown rust, leaf septoria, Fusarium head blight, root rots, and hard smut, and demonstrates resistance to lodging and straw strength.

The variety responds well to the application of microelements at the ear stage, which contributes to increased crude protein and gluten content. MIP Assol is suitable for spring sowing, has moderate photoperiod sensitivity, and a prolonged post-harvest ripening period. Thanks to its characteristics and disease resistance, this variety is a reliable choice for obtaining high-quality grain with excellent technological properties.
