It exhibits high winter hardiness and lodging resistance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in regions with a temperate climate. The variety is recommended for growing in the Ulyanovsk region and the Middle Volga region. The mass of 1000 grains ranges from 36 to 42 grams, while grain natural moisture reaches 824 g/l, indicating good quality raw material for further processing. ESTAFETA is distinguished by high resistance to various diseases, including brown rust, powdery mildew, septoria, fusarium, root rots, and loose smut. Drought resistance of the variety is at the level of or slightly below such varieties as Kazanskaya 560, Skypet, and Fotinia. The variety responds positively to high levels of mineral and nitrogen nutrition, which contributes to achieving high yields — from 6.2 to 9.9 tons per hectare depending on growing conditions. The average yield in the region is about 34.5 centners/hectare. Baking qualities of ESTAFETA are assessed as good, which makes this variety attractive to the baking industry. The grain contains 14.0-14.5% crude protein and 27.7-30.5% crude gluten, ensuring high quality flour and baking products. Due to its characteristics and resistance to adverse factors, the ESTAFETA variety is a promising choice for agricultural producers seeking to obtain a stable and high-quality crop of soft winter wheat.
