MIP Valencia is a high-yielding winter wheat variety of medium-early maturity, recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe regions. Registered in 2017-2018, it was developed by NAAN Ukraine. It is characterized by high yield potential, reaching 8.8-10.0 tons per hectare depending on the region and growing conditions.
This variety is distinguished by high winter hardiness, drought resistance, and resistance to major wheat diseases such as powdery mildew, root rots, brown rust, leaf septoria, and fusarium head blight. Additionally, MIP Valencia is resistant to shattering and poor germination of grains in the ear, ensuring grain yield retention and high grain quality.
The grain of this variety has a test weight of 814 g/l, crude protein content of 13.2-14.1%, and crude gluten content of 24.8-28.6%. The milling properties of the grain are excellent: flour strength ranges from 280-320 units, and bread volume can reach 1100 cm³. This makes MIP Valencia a valuable variety for producing high-quality bread and other bakery products.
