Lupus

Winter wheat variety Lupus is an early-maturing, high-yielding variety with high-quality grain, intended for cultivation in the Central, Southern-Eastern, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones of Ukraine. This variety features high yield potential, reaching 70-90 c/ha, and high winter hardiness, ensuring successful winter survival even under severe frost conditions. The vegetation period ranges from 245 to 278 days, during which a plant of 95-100 cm height with strong stems, resistant to lodging and breakage, develops, making it suitable for direct threshing.

The grain of variety Lupus is characterized by high protein content (14.0-15.0%) and raw gluten (28-36%), providing excellent baking qualities. Dough strength reaches 329-433 BU, and the volume of 100 g of flour is 1015-1200 ml. The thousand-grain weight varies from 38 to 45 g. The plant demonstrates vigorous growth at the beginning of vegetation and good tillering, which contributes to high yields under intensive cultivation on soils with medium to high fertility.

Variety Lupus exhibits high resistance to major diseases, particularly brown rust and powdery mildew, and tolerates drought periods throughout the entire vegetation period. Thanks to these features and stable yield, Lupus is a reliable choice for grain use, providing high-quality raw material for the baking industry.
