KLAVDIYA 2

Klavdiya 2 is a soft winter wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.), characterized by mid-maturity and high winter hardiness. The vegetative period varies depending on the region and growing conditions, ranging from 218 to 311 days. The plants are medium-sized, with heights ranging from 78 to 112 cm, and possess resistance to lodging and drought, making the variety reliable for various climate zones. The ear is pyramidal, medium density and length, with white grain; the mass of 1000 grains varies between 36-46 g. The bush is intermediate, which promotes good development and yield.

The variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the West-Delta and South-Foothill zones of Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol Krai, the Azov and South zones of Rostov Oblast, as well as the Republic of Adygea. It is resistant to diseases such as brown rust and powdery mildew, which ensures stable yields. The average yield of the variety reaches 31.5 c/ha, while the maximum registered yield was 5.8 t/ha.

The grain qualities of the Klavdiya 2 variety meet high requirements for valuable wheat. The grain natural density is 760–805 g/l, chalkiness is 78–98 %. Protein content is in the range of 15.4–19.1 %, and gluten is 28.2–35.1 %, which allows classifying the variety into the first and second quality groups. The bread-making properties of the grain are good and excellent, making Klavdiya 2 in demand for the production of high-quality flour and baked goods.
