Description Elena
Corn Elena is a remontant hybrid of universal use, intended for cultivation in dryland and irrigated conditions of the steppe zone. This medium-late hybrid with FAO index 440 exhibits high resistance to lodging and stem breakage, and is practically immune to major diseases, ensuring reliable and stable yields.

The plant reaches a height of 260-280 cm, with ear attachment height of 95-105 cm. The ear, 24-25 cm long, contains 16-18 rows of kernels, with 45-48 kernels per row. Kernels are yellow, dent-shaped, with a red kernel base, and kernel yield is 84.6%. Planting density in the steppe zone is 40-45 thousand plants per hectare, and on irrigated land – 55-60 thousand plants per hectare.

The maximum grain yield of hybrid Elena was recorded on irrigated land at the Institute of Irrigation of NAAN Ukraine in Kherson, reaching 15.7 tons per hectare, with potential yield of 16.0-16.5 tons per hectare. Due to its characteristics and universal application, this hybrid is suitable for both grain and silage purposes, making it an attractive choice for farmers operating in the steppe zone.
