LG Arnova

LG Arnova — an early winter wheat variety distinguished by high adaptability and stable yield across various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Northern Steppe. Originating from France, the plants are medium-height, reaching approximately 80-85 cm, with moderate tillering and high spike density, promoting good grain formation. Recommended sowing dates range from medium-early to medium-late, with a seeding rate of 4-5.5 million seeds per hectare.

Grain quality is characterized by medium protein and gluten content, corresponding to quality group B. The 1000-grain weight is medium, and the falling number is also medium, indicating balanced technological properties. The variety is glumeless, which facilitates harvesting and reduces losses during grain collection.

LG Arnova exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including leaf septoria, yellow and brown rust, Fusarium head blight, and powdery mildew, with resistance ratings from 7 to 9 out of 9. Winter hardiness and drought tolerance are also high, making this variety a reliable choice for cultivation across various agroclimatic zones. Additionally, the variety demonstrates above-average resistance to lodging, which helps maintain grain quality and quantity.
