Emblem

The Emblem wheat variety is one of the earliest winter wheat varieties developed for various soil-climate conditions in Ukraine. It possesses a complex of traits that allow it to fully realize its genetic potential and achieve high yields even under critical conditions. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, tolerating temperatures down to -20°C, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe zones, and Polissia.

Emblem is characterized by excellent baking qualities of its grain, meeting high standards. The grain of this variety has a high flour yield up to 69% and gluten content of 23-25%, which is especially valued in the baking industry. The thousand-grain weight is 43-50 grams, with protein content of 12-13%. High resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought, as well as tolerance to major cereal diseases, including Fusarium head blight, rust, powdery mildew, septoria, and root rots, make this variety technologically efficient and reliable in cultivation.

The variety belongs to low-growing, intensive crops with plant height of 81-85 cm and high plant density (500-650 plants per square meter), which contributes to achieving high yields with minimal effort. The vegetation period is approximately 280 days. Optimal sowing dates are from September 10 to 25, with a seeding rate of 3.0-3.5 million seeds per hectare and sowing depth of 3-4 cm. All these characteristics make Emblem a versatile and high-yielding variety suitable for various regions of Ukraine.
