Wheat LG Cvitum

French Breeding for Professional Grain Production

The LG Quitum winter wheat, developed by Limagrain, represents the pinnacle of French agronomic innovation. Designed for intensive farming systems, this soft wheat variety has earned a reputation for reliability and consistent performance across diverse European soil and climatic conditions.

Why LG Quitum Stands Out

The core value of LG Quitum lies in its robust genetic profile, which balances high yield potential with exceptional plant health. By choosing this variety, growers effectively reduce their dependence on heavy fungicide programs due to its natural resistance to major threats:

• Advanced Disease Resistance: The variety shows strong resistance to Fusarium head blight, Septoria, leaf rust, and yellow rust. It is also well-adapted to withstand powdery mildew and various leaf spots.
• Agronomic Toughness: With a winter hardiness rating of 8, it provides peace of mind during harsh winters and ensures vigorous growth during the spring season.
• Harvest Efficiency: The variety is known for its excellent resistance to lodging, a critical factor that ensures cleaner harvesting and maximizes the amount of high-quality grain retrieved.

As a beardless (awnless) soft wheat, LG Quitum is specifically engineered for productivity. It is a strategic choice for commercial farmers looking to optimize their input costs while maintaining high-quality yields in high-pressure disease environments.
