Wheat KWS KARUZUM

German Breeding for Consistent Yields

Spring wheat "KWS Karuzum" from the renowned German breeder KWS Lochow is the result of long-term breeding efforts aimed at creating a high-yielding variety for intensive farming systems. Under volatile climate conditions, this variety has proven itself as a reliable tool for achieving high grain quality. Its German heritage ensures strict adherence to European breeding standards, where the balance between productivity and phytosanitary resilience is paramount.

Phytosanitary Shield

One of the key features of "KWS Karuzum" is its comprehensive defense against pathogens. The variety shows robust resistance to a wide range of diseases, which significantly reduces the need for heavy pesticide application. Among the challenges it effectively resists are:

• Brown and Yellow Rust;
• Fusarium head blight;
• Septoria;
• Tan spot (Pyrenophora).

This natural "armor" allows the plant to direct its energy towards grain development rather than fighting off infections like powdery mildew, Mycosphaerella spot, or pink root rot.

Agronomic Profile

The plant reaches a height of 90-100 cm. Its moderate lodging resistance requires agronomists to precisely manage seeding rates and growth regulators. However, when the technological protocol is followed, "KWS Karuzum" unlocks its potential even against the backdrop of unfavorable weather factors. It is a preferred choice for farms that prioritize not only gross yield but also crop purity, minimizing losses caused by diseases during critical vegetative phases.
