KWS Starlight is a medium-late spring wheat variety belonging to quality class A, which demonstrates high and stable yields even under insufficient moisture. The variety is characterized by high protein content and high thousand-grain weight, ensuring excellent grain quality. Plants reach a height of about 80 cm, and the ear forms with good productivity, contributing to a harvest of 2-3 class according to the Ukrainian classification.
One of the key features of the KWS Starlight variety is its high resistance to major wheat diseases, including leaf diseases, septoria, yellow rust, and Fusarium ear blight. Additionally, the variety exhibits excellent lodging resistance, enhancing its adaptability and reducing yield losses. Thanks to these characteristics, KWS Starlight is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine.
To achieve maximum productivity, it is recommended to sow KWS Starlight early, with a seeding rate of 370-500 seeds per square meter and a planting depth of 3-4 cm. The recommended nitrogen fertilizer application rate is 110-150 kg/ha, calculated as pure nitrogen. This agronomic approach allows fully to unlock the potential of the variety and obtain a stable high yield.
