Description Galina
Halina is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) belonging to medium-maturing and medium-height cultivars. The vegetative period ranges from 296 to 330 days, allowing the variety to mature in timeframes similar to varieties such as Pamyati Fedina and Moscow 39. The plants have an average height of 79 to 104 cm, with cylindrical ears of medium density and white coloration. The mass of 1000 grains varies between 38-55 g, indicating the variety's large grain size. The bush is of an intermediate type, and the plant is characterized by enhanced winter hardiness, comparable to the variety Mironovskaya 808.

The Halina variety is distinguished by its resistance to lodging, which ensures crop preservation under unfavorable weather conditions. However, it is moderately resistant to solid head smut and exhibits high susceptibility to brown rust, snow mold, root rots, powdery mildew, and septoria, requiring careful monitoring and the application of protective agro-technical measures. Despite susceptibility to certain diseases, the variety demonstrates high yield, reaching up to 130 c/ha on experimental fields of the Moscow Agricultural Research Institute "Nemchinovka", which is a significant indicator for the region.

Recommended for cultivation in the Moscow and Ryazan regions, as well as in the Northwest and Central regions. The variety is valued for its large ears and stable grain quality, although it is classified as medium quality in terms of grain quality. Overwintering of the variety requires special attention from agronomists to ensure maximum crop preservation. Halina is suitable for growing in temperate climates and can be used for both food and feed purposes.
