BASHKIRSKAYA 10 is a soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety developed by stepwise hybridization and recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Volga-Vyatka, Urals, and West Siberia regions. This medium-maturing variety is characterized by a vegetative period of 307 to 336 days, high winter hardiness, and resistance to lodging, making it a reliable choice for agricultural production in temperate climate conditions. The plant stem reaches a height of 75–110 cm, while the ear, 9–11 cm long, is white in color and of medium density. The variety's grain is egg-shaped, red in color, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 34 to 43 g. BASHKIRSKAYA 10 possesses good baking qualities due to its high protein content (13.5–17.2%) and gluten content (24.0–35.9%). It is distinguished by high drought resistance, comparable to the Bezenchukskaya 380 variety, and resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yield. Meanwhile, the variety is susceptible to brown rust, powdery mildew, and snow mold, which requires the implementation of preventive measures during cultivation. The average yield in recommended regions is about 18.6 c/ha, while on certain variety testing plots it can reach 58.4 c/ha. Thanks to its adaptive properties, BASHKIRSKAYA 10 is successfully cultivated in the pre-Urals steppe and southern forest-steppe zones, as well as in the Central and South-Foothill zones of Krasnodar Krai, the Republic of Adygea, and the Stavropol Krai. The variety is distinguished by its stability and reliability in various climatic conditions, making it in demand among agricultural producers. Its use contributes to obtaining high-quality grain with high technological characteristics, which is important for the baking industry.
