Winter wheat variety "Krugozor" is a type of erythrospermum with a straw-yellow, spindle-shaped ear of medium density. The ears are evenly spaced, with 20-22 ears per 10 cm of stem. The grain is red, egg-shaped, medium-sized, with a thousand-grain weight of 39 to 43 grams. The grain's groove is shallow and narrow, which contributes to good flour and bread quality. The variety is characterized by high yield — from 57.9 to 64.7 centners per hectare. Grain quality belongs to the group of strong wheats with protein content in the grain ranging from 11.8 to 13.8%. Flour strength reaches 407 units, and the volume of bread from 100 grams of flour is 1620 cm³, confirmed by a high bread quality rating — 5 points. These indicators make "Krugozor" an excellent choice for producing high-quality food grain. For growing this variety, steppe zone with conventional or intensive technology is recommended, preferably after good preceding crops. Sowing dates and seeding rates may be delayed. The variety responds well to application of main fertilizers and top-dressings, especially nitrogenous ones, which increase yield and grain technological properties. For obtaining high-quality grain, it is recommended to treat sown crops against harmful weevil and apply one foliar urea dressing. The variety exhibits high resistance to lodging, shattering, frost, drought, heat, and major diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, root rots, and Fusarium ear rot, ensuring stable yield and product quality.
