Maize Hulk

French Genetics for High-Yield Farming

The «Hulk» maize hybrid from Mas Seeds represents the gold standard of European breeding. Developed in France, this hybrid is designed for professional agronomists who prioritize consistent yields under intensive cultivation practices. With a maturity cycle of 295–300 days, Hulk belongs to the mid-to-late maturity group, allowing it to efficiently utilize seasonal heat units and soil potential to maximize grain fill.

Disease Resistance as a Competitive Edge

One of the defining characteristics of the Hulk hybrid is its robust genetic profile against a wide range of common field pathogens. By choosing this hybrid, farmers significantly lower their risk profile regarding yield loss caused by:

• Alternaria and Phoma;
• Sclerotinia and root rots;
• Maize and sorghum downy mildew (Peronospora);
• Stalk rot.

Its natural resilience to Peronospora and bacterial infections reduces the necessity for frequent fungicide applications, making it a cost-effective choice for regions with high pathogen pressure.

Cultivation Standards

To capture the full yield potential of the hybrid, the manufacturer recommends a planting density of 350,000 to 500,000 plants per hectare. This density range ensures each plant has sufficient access to nutrients and space, facilitating optimal pollination and cob development. With its strong market reputation, the Hulk hybrid has become a cornerstone of the Mas Seeds portfolio, trusted by growers for its reliability and consistent performance in temperate climates.
