BALT is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) characterized by a medium-early maturity period and medium plant height. It exhibits high resistance to lodging and moderate resistance to hard head smut, but is highly susceptible to brown rust. The variety's winter hardiness is above average, while its drought resistance is comparable to standard varieties Biryuzha and Fotinia. The 1000-grain weight ranges from 37 to 46 grams, contributing to high yields reaching approximately 42.8 centners per hectare in growing regions.
The BALT variety is recommended for cultivation in various climatic zones, including the Central-Black Earth and Middle-Volga regions, as well as the Republic of Tatarstan. It is characterized by low fertilizer requirements and high disease resistance, making it a cost-effective choice for agronomists aiming for efficient and sustainable grain production. The product meets agricultural production standards and was bred at the Voronezh Federal Agrarian Scientific Center named after V.V. Dokuchaev.
BALT wheat seeds are available for purchase with a minimum order of 5 tons, including delivery across Russia, including central and southern regions. This enables agronomists to plan sowing campaigns considering regional specifics and ensure a stable harvest of high-quality grain. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, the BALT variety is a reliable choice for growing soft winter wheat.
