Winter wheat soft variety Glibovchanka is a medium-height (90-105 cm) variety with red oval kernels, well-filled, belonging to the erythrospermum group. Developed by individual selection through crossing the Donskaya polukarlikovaya variety with line 2397-79, this variety has high bread-making quality and is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone. Glibovchanka is a medium-maturing variety with a yield potential of 4.5 to 5.7 tons per hectare and a 1000-grain weight of 39-42 grams.

The variety is characterized by enhanced winter hardiness and resistance to lodging and shattering, confirmed by high resistance scores (9 points for lodging and 8 for shattering). Additionally, Glibovchanka exhibits good resistance to root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew, ensuring stable yields and grain quality. The variety's winter hardiness and drought tolerance are above average, making it valuable for cultivation not only in the forest-steppe but also in the steppe zone and Polissia.

Glibovchanka is a high-yielding variety, exceeding standard varieties by 6-7 centners per hectare in multi-year trials. The recommended seeding rate is 4.0-4.5 million germinating seeds per hectare. Due to its qualities and resistance to adverse conditions, this variety is widely used for grain production, ensuring stable production of high-quality grain with high protein content (approximately 14.8%).
