Description Bagira
BAGIRA — a variety of soft winter wheat created by individual selection from a hybrid population, with a pedigree (Scythia x Odessky Albatross) x Odessky Ukrainian. The plant is medium-height with a semi-upright bush, has a pyramidal ear of medium density and length, and is white in color. There is no or very weak waxy bloom on the upper internode. The mass of 1000 grains is 35-44 grams, indicating good grain quality. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the North-Eastern and Eastern zones of the Stavropol region and is suitable for intensive and semi-intensive predecessors, ensuring a satisfactory yield even on low agro-conditions.

BAGIRA is characterized by a medium-early maturity period with a vegetative period ranging from 218 to 269 days. The variety has high drought and heat resistance, making it a reliable choice under unfavorable climatic conditions. Winter hardiness is medium; the plant is resistant to lodging, which contributes to crop preservation. Additionally, the variety demonstrates good resistance to brown rust and powdery mildew, moderate resistance to ear septoria, and moderate susceptibility to fusarium, which facilitates protecting crops from diseases.

The baking qualities of BAGIRA wheat are rated as good, making this variety attractive for producing quality flour and bakery products. The average yield in the region is about 40.3 centners per hectare, confirming its high productivity. Seeds of the variety are available for purchase with delivery throughout Russia from 5 tons, which is convenient for large agricultural enterprises and farmers.
