Wheat OLIMP

Olymp soft winter wheat represents a medium-early and medium-height variety, possessing high lodging resistance, which ensures crop preservation and facilitates harvesting. This variety does not shed grain and does not germinate on the root, contributing to grain quality preservation. OLIMP is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including Volgograd Oblast, and demonstrates a medium yield of about 30.2 centners per hectare. The variety is characterized by good adaptation to climatic conditions and resistance to major diseases, such as brown and yellow rust, as well as solid smut. Baking qualities of OLIMP wheat are high: the grain contains on average 16% protein and 31.7% gluten, which provides flour strength at a level of 362 units. This allows obtaining bread with a volume of about 780 cm³ and an overall quality rating at a level of 5 points, indicating superior flour properties for baking. Due to these characteristics, the variety is widely used in agriculture for producing high-quality flour and bakery products. It is important to note that information about Artek Olymp wheat groats relates to a different product and is not related to the OLIMP wheat variety. Thus, the variety description focuses on its agronomic and technological properties, making it an attractive choice for farmers seeking to obtain a high and quality yield of soft winter wheat.
