Description YASHKULYANKA
Yashkulyanka is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of medium-early or medium-early maturity type, recommended for cultivation in the Lower Volga region, Kalmykia Republic, the North Caucasus region, and Rostov Oblast. The vegetation period ranges from 226 to 305 days, depending on the region, which allows the variety to adapt to various climatic conditions. The plants are semi-dwarf, ranging in height from 52 to 83 cm, with a 1000-kernel weight between 36 and 48 g. The spike is cylindrical, of medium length and density; the kernel is large, egg-shaped, red in color, with a shallow groove, characteristic of the erytrospermum variety.

The variety exhibits high winter hardiness, exceeding the average level, and resistance to lodging, ensuring crop preservation under unfavorable weather conditions. Drought resistance and resistance to shattering are at or above the level of standard varieties, contributing to stable yield formation. Yashkulyanka is characterized by excellent baking qualities, making it in demand for the production of high-quality flour.

In terms of disease resistance, the variety demonstrates high indicators: resistance to brown rust, powdery mildew, root rot, septoria, and fusarium of the spike is rated at 7-9 points on the resistance scale. To achieve maximum yields, it is recommended to apply widely accepted high-intensity cultivation technology, including sowing in the second half of the optimal period on the best predecessors at a sowing rate of 4.0-6.0 million viable seeds per hectare. The variety responds well to high levels of mineral nutrition and requires timely protection against diseases and pests.
