DKS 3730

DKS 3730 — a high-yielding hybrid maize of medium-early maturity, intended for cultivation under various soil-climatic conditions. Plants reach a height of 230–250 cm, with ear attachment height of 110–118 cm. The ear contains 14–16 rows of kernels, each row with 28–30 dent-type kernels, resulting in a total kernel count of 460 to 620. Starch content in the grain is approximately 73%, making this variety suitable for use as grain, silage, as well as for bioethanol and biogas production.

The hybrid features a strong root system and high resistance to common maize diseases, including fusarium, helminthosporium, stalk rot, and gray leaf spot, with resistance ratings of 8–9 points. Additionally, DKS 3730 exhibits high drought and lodging tolerance, ensuring stable yields under varying conditions. The plant quickly sheds moisture, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses.

The variety is suitable for cultivation on all soil types and can be grown using traditional, minimal, and No-tillage soil preparation methods. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture conditions: 55–60 thousand plants per hectare in dry conditions, up to 75–85 thousand in well-watered conditions. The hybrid can be cultivated in monoculture, expanding its application potential in agronomic technologies.
