Wheat Snowana

Optimizing Yield Potential in Intensive Farming

The winter soft wheat variety "Snizhana," developed by the Myronivka Wheat Institute, is engineered for agricultural enterprises aiming for high-yield harvests reaching 8-9 tons per hectare. This variety is designed for intensive cultivation systems where balancing maximum output with biological resilience is essential for farm profitability.

Field Performance and Disease Resistance

A major advantage of "Snizhana" is its strong genetic resistance to major wheat pathogens. The variety shows robust immunity against leaf rust, septoria, and root rot. This allows agronomists to optimize their fungicide programs, focusing on precision prevention rather than heavy reactive spraying during critical growth stages.

Agronomic Profile for Production

• Structural Integrity: With a plant height of 80-90 cm, it exhibits high lodging resistance, making it suitable for operations using intensive nitrogen application.
• Development Cycle: A 90-100 day vegetation period allows for precise harvesting scheduling tailored to regional climatic windows.
• Grain Quality: A thousand-kernel weight (TKW) of 35-40 grams ensures consistent grain filling and high-quality physical properties for market demands.

"Snizhana" is an ideal choice for producers who prioritize predictable outcomes on high-fertility soils. The variety demonstrates excellent flexibility regarding planting dates and responds effectively to top-dressing programs, ensuring performance stability even when environmental conditions vary.
