Pea KWS Flam

French breeding for high-quality yields

The "KWS Flem" pea is a complex hybrid developed by KWS MOMONT RECHERCHE S.A.R.L. in France. This variety, scheduled for official registration in Ukraine in 2026, is aimed at professional farmers who prioritize not only total yield volume but also the technological characteristics of the grain that determine its market value.

Purpose and processing

The primary value of "KWS Flem" lies in its versatility for the food industry. The grain exhibits excellent uniformity, which is critical for processing plants. When producing pea groats or flour, the variety demonstrates a high yield of finished product while maintaining the natural color and taste qualities demanded in the healthy food segment.

Marketability and storage

French genetics ensure a consistently high market appearance of the beans. A dense seed coat and resistance to cracking help minimize losses during mechanized harvesting. For agricultural holdings and farms, this means:

• High transportability: the grain withstands long-distance logistics without damage.
• Long-term storage: the low hygroscopicity of the seeds allows them to maintain their standard quality indicators for an extended period without loss of germination or nutritional value.
• Batch stability: uniformity in size and shape simplifies the calibration and packaging process for retail.

Choosing "KWS Flem" is an investment in a product that easily passes quality control at elevators and is in demand among processors focused on export standards.
