Tulun Vetch is a variety of vetch (Vicia sativa L.) intended for cultivation for both seed and fodder purposes. It belongs to the medium-early type with an early onset of flowering, allowing for a harvest within 83–89 days after germination. The variety is characterized by medium plant height and good adaptation to the climatic conditions of Eastern Siberia and the Angara region.
The yield of Tulun Vetch is above average: the average production is about 23.8 centners per hectare, and under optimal conditions can reach 39.1 tonnes. The weight of 1000 seeds reaches 67.7 grams, indicating high grain density and quality. Seeds are large, round, bluish-black in color without ornamentation.
The variety is included in the state register for both central regions and Eastern Siberia, confirming its wide applicability. Leaves are light green, medium-wide with a straight tip; the stem is hairy, and anthocyanin coloring of medium intensity is observed in leaf axils. Flowers are light purple, pods are long and medium width. Tulun Vetch provides good fodder value and resistance to unfavorable climatic conditions.
