Vika VIORA – a high-yielding winter wheat variety created for cultivation in moderately dry and humid climatic conditions. The variety is characterized by high protein content (about 12%), which ensures good dough structure and improves the quality of the final product.
One of the key advantages of Vika VIORA is its resistance to major agronomic stresses: it tolerates wheat aphid well, as well as fungal infections such as ergot and mold. Thanks to this, farmers can rely on a stable yield even under unfavorable weather conditions.
The yield of the variety reaches up to 8 t/ha under optimal planting conditions, and grain fill is 70% to 80% of total seed mass. Seeds are large and round with a thin hull, which facilitates mechanical processing and increases harvest efficiency.
The sowing period for Vika VIORA begins 15–20 days after the start of autumn when soil temperature is 5°C to 10°C and humidity is 60–70%. After harvest, grain can be stored for up to 12 months at 0–5°C and 10–15% humidity, ensuring a long storage life without quality loss.
