Triticale Mileva

A New Standard for Triticale: The 2025 Variety

Triticale "Mileva" is a breeding innovation from the V.Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, officially registered in Ukraine in 2025. This complex hybrid, developed through selective breeding, is specifically adapted for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Polissya zones, focusing on high-quality grain production.

Grain Utilization and Processing

As a facultative (winter/spring) variety, "Mileva" offers farmers significant flexibility in planting schedules. The grain exhibits stable technological properties, making it a valuable raw material for various processing sectors.

• Food Industry: The nutritional profile of the grain makes it suitable for flour production, which is increasingly used in health-conscious baking and specialized bread mixtures.
• Animal Feed: "Mileva" grain serves as a high-energy component for compound feed, ensuring balanced nutrition for livestock.
• Storage and Logistics: The hollow straw and moderately dense ear facilitate efficient harvesting and post-harvest drying. The uniform morphological characteristics simplify cleaning and elevator storage, ensuring consistent quality for commercial batches.

The short-stemmed nature of the plant reduces lodging risks, which is crucial for maintaining grain quality and facilitating mechanical harvesting. "Mileva" is designed for producers who prioritize intensive farming and require predictable results for both domestic and export grain markets.
