CURAGE 88 is a new triticale variety, representing an interspecific hybrid of wheat and rye that combines the best qualities of both cereals. From rye, it inherited high resistance to diseases, low temperatures, soil salinity, and acidity, while from wheat it gained excellent baking qualities of the grain. This variety is characterized by high productivity, resistance to lodging and shattering, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various soil and climatic conditions.
CURAGE 88 possesses adaptability to poor soils and is capable of providing high yield levels even in difficult conditions. Plant height reaches about 105 cm, the ear is spindle-shaped, dense, and long, with large, well-formed grain of yellow-white color. The variety is mid-late when sown in autumn and late when sown in spring, differing in high winter hardiness and drought resistance. The level of resistance to lodging is assessed at 9 points, and to diseases — at 8-9 points, which confirms its reliability in terms of agronomy.
The grain of triticale CURAGE 88 has high feed and baking qualities, with a protein content of about 15%, making it universal for use both in the food industry and in animal husbandry. Due to its properties, the variety is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, Middle Volga, and Lower Volga. CURAGE 88 represents a promising crop for increasing the efficiency of agricultural production and ensuring quality raw materials.
