Description Baturin 287 MV
Baturin 287 MV is a medium-early, two-line hybrid sweet corn (Zea mays L.) included in the State Register for the Central Chernozem region. The plant is characterized by high growth vigor and broad leaves, with a short, thick, slightly conical ear, medium-length stalk, and medium number of rows of kernels. The hybrid’s vegetative period is 123 days, matching the standard level. The average moisture content of the grain at harvest reaches 28.3%, slightly exceeding standard indicators, indicating good grain preservation and quality.

The hybrid exhibits high grain yield — the average yield is 90.5 centners per hectare, 10.1% above the standard level. The maximum yield, recorded at the Lipetsk State Variety Testing Station in 2013, reached 131.7 centners per hectare. Baturin 287 MV was developed by scientists at the Institute of Steppe Agriculture of NAAN Ukraine and the scientific-production farm enterprise 'Company Maïs', confirming its adaptation to regional conditions and high selection value.

The hybrid is resistant to stress factors and diseases, ensuring stable yields under various climatic conditions. Due to its characteristics, Baturin 287 MV is suitable for increasing yield and improving grain quality, reducing moisture at harvest to levels comparable to foreign standards. This makes it a promising choice for agricultural enterprises focused on efficient corn production.
