Triticale Kharkivskiy Legin

Stability and Phytosanitary Defense

Triticale "Lehyn Kharkivskyi" is a breeding product from the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, designed for farmers who aim to minimize chemical pressure on their crops. Unlike many varieties that only show high yields under intensive fungicide protection, this variety wins through natural genetic resistance.

The main advantage of "Lehyn" lies in its ability to withstand a complex of pathogens that traditionally eat into an agronomist's margins. The variety shows remarkable resistance to Mycosphaerella leaf spot, stem smut, and powdery mildew. Of particular note is its resistance to brown rust and septoria — key diseases that often cause lodging and grain degradation during humid springs and summers.

Agronomic Profile

• Plant Height: 100–110 cm. This is an optimal range, providing a balance between biomass accumulation and resistance to lodging.
• Purpose: Versatile use for both fodder production and industrial processing.
• Regional Focus: Fully adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Ukraine, ensuring predictable results without exotic requirements for the agricultural background.

Who should choose "Lehyn Kharkivskyi"? It is an ideal solution for farms practicing environmentally conscious farming or those operating in regions with a high infectious background. It forgives minor errors in spraying schedules, as its biological defense works preventively. If your goal is to secure a predictable grain volume with minimal investment in expensive pesticides, this variety will be a reliable pillar of your crop rotation.
