The triticale variety Freedom Kharkivskaya is one of the most adaptive and stable varieties of bright triticale developed by the Institute of Plant Production named after V.Ya. Yuryev, NAAN. It is characterized by high yield, which in various trials reached from 5.0 to 6.24 tons per hectare, exceeding the performance of standard varieties. High yield is closely associated with the thousand-grain weight, indicating large grain size and high grain quality.
Freedom Kharkivskaya is characterized by stable average plant height of about 108 cm and ease of threshing, which simplifies the harvesting process. The grain of this variety has high naturalness and is well suited for bread production, demonstrating a high overall bread-making rating. At the same time, the variety retains optimal technological properties, despite the inverse correlation between yield and flour strength and dough elasticity.
Due to its high selection value and adaptability, the variety Freedom Kharkivskaya is recommended for cultivation in various climatic and soil conditions across the entire territory of Ukraine. Its stability and resistance make it an attractive choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality triticale yields.
