Triticale Aist Kharkivskyi

Efficiency in Fodder Production

The «Aist kharkovskiy» winter triticale, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is a choice for agricultural enterprises focused on reliable biomass and high-quality grain yields. Standing at a height of 100-110 cm, this cultivar is valued for its excellent lodging resistance, which simplifies harvesting operations and minimizes losses even in fields with high nutrient availability.

Practical Applications in Farming

• Feed and Livestock Optimization: The grain profile makes it an excellent choice for poultry and swine feed formulations, providing a balanced amino acid content that enhances livestock performance.
• Early Green Mass Production: Its ability to resume vegetative growth early in the spring makes it a key asset for farms managing a green fodder conveyor, providing forage before pastures are fully ready.
• Adaptability to Varied Soil Quality: Triticale is inherently more resilient than winter wheat, and «Aist kharkovskiy» performs reliably on less fertile soils, allowing farmers to maintain consistent yields in diverse environmental conditions.

This variety is highly compatible with intensive farming systems. It responds predictably to nitrogen applications, producing biomass efficiently without compromising the structural integrity of the stems. Agronomists favor this cultivar for its flexibility in sowing schedules and its consistent performance, making it a robust component of modern crop rotation strategies designed to hedge against the risks associated with monoculture grain farming.
