Description NORMANN
The spring triticale variety «Normann» is a mid-season culture with a vegetation period of 91 to 110 days. The plants have an average height of 86 to 126 cm, with a semi-erect bush and high lodging resistance. The ear is white, medium length and density, fully awned, with light-yellow or red grain, elongated shape, high natural germination rate, and protein content ranging from 13–13.7%. The 1000-seed weight varies from 40.7 to 51 grams, indicating high-quality seed material. The variety is distinguished by high yield and stability, with an average grain yield of about 28.5–41.1 ц/га, reaching maximum levels of up to 63.2 ц/га. It is adapted to various soil conditions and responds well to nitrogen fertilization. «Normann» has high productive bushiness, forming a dense stem base, which contributes to effective use of sown area and increased yield. The variety is resistant to major diseases such as powdery mildew, stem and brown rust, as well as septoria, reducing the need for frequent chemical treatments. It possesses drought resistance and is suitable for cultivation in various regions, including Northwestern, Central, and Far Eastern. The primary intended use of the variety is grain-fodder production, thanks to the high grain quality and technological properties.
