Description Amazonka
The Amazonka buckwheat variety is a medium-early variety with a vegetation period of about 92 days. This variety was developed and registered by LLC NVA "Zemlerobets" in 2008 and is recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. Amazonka is characterized by high yield: in the forest-steppe zone, the average yield is 17.9 centners per hectare, while in the steppe zone, it reaches 22.1–24.8 centners per hectare.

The variety is resistant to major buckwheat diseases such as powdery mildew and peronosporosis, and also exhibits relative resistance to lodging, shattering, and drought. This makes Amazonka a reliable choice for farmers seeking stable yields under various climatic conditions. The cultivation agronomy is standard and adapted to the growing zone, with full mineral fertilization significantly improving results.

The grain quality of the Amazonka variety is characterized by high protein content — 14.9%, kernel size 53.7%, and a groat yield up to 71%. The husk content of the grain is 23.6%. These indicators make the variety attractive for groat production and other buckwheat-based products. Overall, Amazonka combines high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and good grain technological qualities.
