Antaria is a medium-maturing and ecologically plastic variety of buckwheat, intended for use in the food industry, particularly for the production of flour and honey. Plants of this variety are medium-height, well-branched, with four nodes in the branching zone. Flowers are large, pale-pink in color, with a diameter of about 7.5 mm. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, shattering, and major diseases, ensuring stable yields and product quality. Recommended cultivation zones include the Polissia, Forest Steppe, and Steppe of Ukraine. Antaria is characterized by high yield, reaching 32-36 centners per hectare, with a flour extraction rate of 75-76%. Kernel uniformity is at the level of 88-90%, indicating high seed quality. The variety also exhibits high nectar productivity, making it attractive for beekeeping. Due to its resistance to climatic changes, Antaria is suitable for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones. The maturation period of the variety is 85-87 days, allowing its use as a sole crop in crop rotation or following winter crops. Plant height ranges from 95 to 100 cm, facilitating care and harvest. Although the yield of this variety is slightly lower than that of medium-maturing varieties, reaching 18-20 centners per hectare under wide-row planting technology with a seeding rate of 65-70 kg/ha, Antaria ensures stable and high-quality yields due to its resilience and adaptability.
