GREBESHOK® is a spring variety of triticale, representing a hybrid of wheat and rye, intended for grain and fodder use. The plant is characterized by medium or high growth, reaching a height of 90 to 125 cm, with a semi-erect or intermediate bush type. The ear is white, of medium or medium-long length, fully awned, with no pubescence on the outer surface of the glume. The grain is large, red, semi-elongated; the mass of 1000 grains varies from 34 to 49.2 g depending on the region and growing conditions. The variety's vegetative period is 85 to 110 days, with heading time ranging from early to medium. GREBESHOK possesses high resistance to lodging and drought resistance at the level of standards, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The waxy coating on the sheath of the flag leaf is expressed moderately-strongly, and the density of pubescence at the stem neck is strong or very strong, which contributes to protecting the plant from adverse factors. The variety is included in the state registers of several regions, including the Northwestern, Central, Volga-Vyatka, and Far Eastern. Grain yield varies by region: in the Central region, the average yield reaches 37.5 c/ha, in the Volga-Vyatka region — 41.4 c/ha, and in the Northwestern region — about 26.4 c/ha. Maximum yield indicators exceeding 74 c/ha were achieved in experimental farms of the Ryazan and Nizhny Novgorod regions. The authors of the variety are leading specialists in the field of breeding, and the originators are scientific centers of Russia and Belarus.
