CEPPO

Table beet Ceppo is an early hybrid from the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan with a maturation period of 85-90 days. The plant is characterized by a well-developed root system and dense foliage, which ensures reliable protection from solar activity and increased drought resistance. The fruits have an oval shape, smooth and even surface, dark red color, and weigh between 300 and 500 grams with a diameter of about 10-12 cm. The flesh is rich in color without radial rings, indicating high product quality. Thanks to its intense color and excellent taste qualities, the beet is suitable for fresh consumption, thermal processing, and making homemade preserves.

The Ceppo hybrid quickly adapts to growing and care conditions, however, regular watering, soil loosening, use of mulch and fertilizers contribute to increasing yield and fruit quality. The beet is resistant to bolting and foliage diseases, which makes it a reliable choice for growing in the second crop rotation. Yield reaches up to 7 kg per square meter. Planting is recommended in late April to early May in a 30x60 cm scheme at a depth of about 2 cm.

During the growing season, Ceppo beet accumulates a significant amount of vitamins, sugars, and dry matter, making it a valuable product for the food industry and home use. The hybrid is flexible in terms of growing geography and is well suited for obtaining early produce, and with late sowings can be used for storage.
