Vegetable Pea Leader

Maximizing Early Yields

The vegetable pea variety «Lider» is a tactical choice for producers looking to secure market presence early in the season. With a short vegetation period of 52–65 days, it fits perfectly into the early-season planting cycle. Its predictable maturity schedule allows farms to plan their harvesting logistics with precision, whether for fresh produce markets or large-scale canning facilities.

Performance and Agronomic Value

In field conditions, «Lider» stands out for its high-quality yield architecture. The pods are 8–9 cm long, containing 7–9 large peas. The high Thousand Kernel Weight (TKW), ranging from 200 to 240 grams, makes it an attractive option for processors who require consistent grain size and quality. The uniformity of pod ripening is a critical advantage, facilitating efficient one-pass mechanical harvesting.

• Harvesting Efficiency: Due to the uniform pod maturation, the risk of harvesting losses is significantly reduced, ensuring that the maximum percentage of large seeds reaches the container.
• Strategic Deployment: Ideal for producers aiming for high market prices by supplying early harvests. Its ability to mature before peak summer heat helps maintain seed quality and prevents the grain from becoming overly starchy.
• Management Tips: Given the grain size, precise calibration of seeding equipment is essential. Proper soil preparation in early spring ensures that the crop utilizes available moisture effectively for maximum pod filling.

For agribusinesses, «Lider» represents a low-risk, high-efficiency solution. It combines stable yield performance with the structural characteristics needed for modern mechanical harvesting, making it a reliable workhorse for early vegetable production.
